Benjamin Anum-Higher, Interim Pastor
Benjamin Anum-Higher began his ministry in the Philippines, serving as a chaplain of a local jail, and held weekly worship services for several families in Pasig, Philippines. Later, he joined and worked with two URCNA churches in Cainta and Imus, Philippines. He was appointed the Philippines National Coordinator of MINTS International Seminary, where he started two Study Centers to train pastors.
Ordained in the Christian Alliance Ministries, Philippines, in March 2013, Benjamin left to join the URCNA in the Philippines, serving as a pulpit supply in several churches.
Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Benjamin has previously lived in China, South Korea, and the Philippines. He was a high school teacher in Ghana and a college instructor in China. He served as Principal of Washington School in Carmona, Philippines, before his family relocated to the United States in October 2015.
Benjamin graduated from college with a degree in Applied Chemistry. He holds a Master of Divinity (South Korea) and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice (KY, USA) degrees.
He served on the Missions Committee of Covenant Reformed Church, Pella, and was an elder and the Council's vice president at Leighton CRC. He serves as a pulpit supply for two churches and as the CEO of his cleaning company in Pella - Imago Dei Cleaning, LLC.
He has been married to his wife Maricel since 2011, and they have two children, Jedidiah and Josiah.
